so.. the first night home was very sleepless for wayne and I. Kingston woke at about 1am and then didnt sleep again till 5ish. he was cluster feeding so pretty much he didnt want anything else but to be feed. anyway so was rather sleepless for me.

mum took him for his first walk in the stroller yesterday morning while i got some much needed sleep!and we had a good day with lots of visitors!Rohini and the kids come over to see Kingston, along with lara and lillians kiddies, and Carlyn and Nancy surprised us by showing up at our house, and janelle and rene came over!so was really neat to see everyone!

and my milk has started to come in, so my boobs are sooooo sore and huge!!have been having them iced, then heat on them, wow, very sore!! hopefully they will be feeling a bit deflated in the next few days!!

and Kingston had a great sleep last night, feed every 2.5hrs basically and i feel awake this morning!!yay!!

have a visit with the doc today and the public health nurse is coming over to make sure everything is going well, and dad flys in tonight.. so we will see what the day brings!!

So... we have a baby boy!!yes its a boy and I was shocked!!haha wonderfully surprised should i say!!Wayne had such a smile on his face when he realised it was a boy!!Kingston is happy and healthy and just perfect!!

some might not be interested in the details of the birth so skip it or read it...

I got induced at 9am on monday morning and was back into hospital by 1:30 with contractions. started off all normally i guess, by about 10.30 i was 4-5cm dialated and started on the nitros oxide. there was about 2 points where i thought i couldnt handle it, just before i went on the gas and about midnight just before i had a shot of morphine. Kingston was posterior so had lots of pain in my back. the doc came in around then and broke my waters and told me to be on my hands and knees to turn baby around which fortunately worked!!if the baby hadn't of turned, i would of had to have a C-section!!and those last 3 or so hours, in those positions was painful!!!!!!!oh and i threw up about 4 times during the labour so they had me on a IV. then i felt like i needed to poo then push and quick as they checked me and i was 10cm and ready to go!! the pushing took bout 25mins and bout 6 contractions!as it all worked out, mum ended up holding one leg and wayne was by my head, so they truely saw it all!!ha but they were amazing!!the nurse asked wayne if he was gonna faint but he said 'no i'm fine, i've just got the shakes' and then mum said she did too!but they all got through it amazingly!he came out with his right hand cupping his chin and he often now has hands up by his face, actually in his ultra sound his hand was up by his face too!!
so he had a little feed basically right away and then didnt feed much in the next 24hrs cos he was coughing up a lot of mucus that he swolled during the birth. but that must be out now cos he's feeding well!!havn't had too many issues with breast feeding, nipples are a little tender.

we came home today at about noon and is so nice to be home with our new baby.

Papa Lew made Kingston his first snowboard!!We open 2 little packages to find these tin shoes and were wondering 'what on earth' !! then Papa Lew pulls a screw driver from his pocket and we opened the board and realised they were mini bindings!!so cute!

we have to keep his hands covered cos he scratches his face real bad. his nails are long from being over due and jagged! Nana knitted the booties!!

Fake contractions and Induction!!

So...
after trying every other way possible to get a baby to come, i resorted to castor oil on saturday!!u know, cos my granma did it with dad and got him going, well.... didnt work for me!!! other than clearing my system out with Xtreme runs!!
anyhow, I started getting contractions that night, so at bout 11pm we go into the hospital only to be checked out and told to go home and rest and come back when they are more regular and intense. oh and by the way, they were getting a little bit sore but as soon as we got to the hospital, the pain completely stopped!! was so retarted!!
so went home to bed and the contractions completely faded out over the night to nothing by bout 10am the next morning!!
so that was all a bit weird and dissapointing!!anyhow.. apparently all sorta normal for first babies!
so now its monday(nothing happened sunday night)and we're going in for an induction at 8.30am so hopefully my next post will be telling u all that we have a beautiful little baby boy\girl!!
oh and dad arrived last night!!i'm pretty sure he was hoping this would all be done and over with by the time he arrived!!

so... its tuesday and still no baby!! 2 days late!!
im trying to wait calmly and collectively.. ha ha but its incredibly difficult!!
i saw royden yesterday, my osteopath guy, and he thinks in the next few days and i see the doc today, so hopefully she can do the sweep and get the baby moving!!
my personal prediction, it'll happen tonight or tomorow!!:)
but we will see..
when baby is ready i guess, but doesn't baby know that we like things on time!! gosh!!
anyway....
im waiting....
